Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater wreck survey report for the obstruction located at 56 1.396 N, 2 57.487 W off the coast of Fife near the Firth of Forth. Originally reported by fishermen as an approximate position, the wreckage was later identified by divers as a submerged drifter vessel dating back to the interwar period. The underwater obstruction consists of a twisted mass of wreckage measuring approximately 12 meters by 6 meters (40 feet by 20 feet) and stands 15 feet high on the seabed. Despite a 2009 survey by Forth Ports PLC failing to relocate the debris, the wreck remains charted as a dangerous underwater obstruction due to the limitations of sounding-only surveys.
