Circumstances of loss

STRUCK OUTER BREAKWATER WALL WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ENTER LEIXOES IN HEAVY SEAS AFTER BEING ABANDONED BY CREW FOLLOWING ENGINE BREAKDOWN. BROKE IN TWO AND SANK, ONLY 1 OF CREW OF 8 SURVIVED. (LL).
