Historical hydrographic survey records from 1972 to 2017 indicate that multiple searches by Royal Navy vessels using close sounding, transit sonar, and multibeam dataset surveys failed to locate the mine-damaged wreck, leading to the assessment that the site is dead and no further archaeological remains or obstructions exist.
