The shipwreck Batcheldor is located in the coastal waters off Georgetown, Guyana, at coordinates 6 50.3 N, 58 0.183 W. Historical hydrographic survey records identify this underwater obstruction as a dangerous wreck consisting of a submerged mast. Originally marked by a green conical buoy, the site was later updated to include a flashing green beacon. The wreck remains a noted navigational hazard in the region, appearing in historical maritime records as a structural obstruction offshore from Chateau Margot. Mariners are advised that the Batcheldor wreck is positioned approximately 300 feet west of the established flashing green beacon at the entrance to Georgetown Harbour.
