Simplified Wreck Survey

Located in the waters of the River Tamar near Plymouth along the Devon and Cornwall border, this underwater obstruction site is situated at coordinates 50 24.034 N, 4 12.285 W. Originally recorded in September 1994, the site involved two ammunition barges that required diving operations under Plymouth Local Notice to Mariners to verify they were clear of munitions. Hydrographic records indicate the wreckage was lifted and removed from the seabed by April 1995. Subsequent sonar and bathymetric surveys conducted by HMSML Gleaner in January 1999 and July 2000 found no remaining wreckage, confirming the site remains clear.
