Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater shipwreck located at 50 34.572 N, 1 3.548 W off the coast of the Isle of Wight in the English Channel. This seabed obstruction is a submerged wreck site, originally identified as a probable World War II motorised barge. Following a 2016 hydrographic survey, the wreck is confirmed at a least depth of 26.95 metres within a general water depth of 29 metres. The structure measures approximately 13 metres in length, 7 metres in width, and stands 2.05 metres high with an orientation of 129/309 degrees. The site features two deep trenches to the north and south, likely caused by dragged anchors, and rests on a seabed of sand and mud.
