Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater obstruction located at 50 36.471 N, 1 0.885 W in the English Channel near Portsmouth. This submerged object, originally identified as two sections of 8 inch cable fouled by an anchor, was surveyed in November 2016. The obstruction measures 9 meters in length, 6 meters in width, and stands 1.41 meters high. It rests in a general depth of 23 meters with a least multibeam depth clearance of 21.59 meters. The structure has an orientation of 038/218 degrees and is associated with a 4.8 meter scour mark. This site is documented as a navigational hazard for mariners.
