Simplified Wreck Survey
The Estrelita shipwreck was reported to have sunk near the Solent and Bembridge, Isle of Wight, at coordinates 50 38.085 N, 1 2.837 W. Although initial reports suggested a depth of approximately 10 to 13 fathoms, subsequent hydrographic surveys conducted between 1977 and 2016 failed to locate any remains of the vessel at or near this position. Following extensive underwater box searches using sonar and echo sounding equipment, the Estrelita wreck is officially classified as dead or non-existent in this location, with no further archaeological evidence found on the seabed.
