Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater shipwreck details for wreck located at coordinates 50 38.212 N, 0 46.399 W in the English Channel. This submerged wreck site has been subject to multiple hydrographic surveys since 1975 to determine its structural integrity and depth. The wreck, identified as a steel barge or Landing Craft Tank (LCT) type vessel, measures approximately 21.2 meters in length and 4.8 meters in width. It is positioned lying in a 338/158 degree orientation and is currently documented as being intact and partially buried in the seabed. Recent survey data from October 2019 confirms a least multibeam depth of 21.86 meters within a general water depth of 24 meters, with a scour depth reaching 25 meters. Previous historical surveys noted thin steel plating with holes and three small propellers, though the vessel is now largely settled. This obstruction is a known navigational feature recorded by the UK Hydrographic Office.
