Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater Wreck Survey Details: Position 50 38.971 N, 0 49.327 W. This historic underwater shipwreck is located off the south coast of England in the English Channel near the Solent area. Originally located in 1975 and repeatedly examined by hydrographic surveys up to 2019, the site is identified as the remains of a World War I steam coaster oriented east-west with the bow facing west. The structure is well broken up and rusted, featuring prominent structural remnants including two boilers standing about 15 feet high. Modern multibeam sonar surveys record a least depth of 9.78 meters within a general surrounding depth of 14 meters. The overall dimensions of the remaining debris field measure approximately 47.3 meters in length, 9.8 meters in width, and 3.4 meters in height.
