(P.C.MILLER, LTR DTD 18.8.75) H1281/77 18.4.77 FINALLY LOCATED THIS WK SCATTERED OVER A LARGE AREA OF SHALLOW WATER ON ROUGH GROUND CLOSE TO SHORE. AVERAGE DEPTH OF WATER 3-4MTRS. ONLY REAL IDENTIFIABLE PART OF WK IS THE PROP SHAFT WHICH LIES AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE SHORE APPROX 6-7MTRS IN LENGTH. THIS IS THE HIGHEST PART STANDING ABOUT 1MTR OFF THE BOTTOM. ESTIMATED POSN 550109N, 050557W. (P C MILLER, DTD 28.1.77). FOR FILING ONLY. NCA. H1285/82/226 19.11.82 BEACHED IN REPD POSN & BECAME CONSTRUCTIVE TOTAL LOSS. (P.C.MILLER, DTD 6.11.82). NCA. SEP 2017/000036782 27.6.17 NOT LOCATED IN M/B SURVEY 2017. (MMT, HI 1509). AMEND DEAD.

BUILT OF IRON IN 1886 BY R DUNCAN & CO, PORT GLASGOW. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY ARGYLL STEAMSHIP CO. ONE BOILER, TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE, SINGLE SHAFT. PASSAGE GLASGOW FOR STRANRAER. GROUNDED IN FOG NEAR MILLEUR PT, WAS REFLOATED BUT FOUND TO BE LISTING DANGEROUSLY & SO WAS BEACHED AGAIN. ABANDONED AS CTL. (P C MILLER, SIBI & CLYDE SHIPWRECKS, MOIR & CRAWFORD).
