BUILT OF WOOD IN 1885. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY F DULZ & CO, BREMEN. PASSAGE LIVERPOOL FOR NEW YORK. FOUNDERED IN S BY W FORCE 4 FOLLOWING COLLISION WITH SS HOLYHEAD [7212] WHICH ALSO SANK. THE MATE MISTOOK MASTHEAD LIGHT OF SS HOLYHEAD FOR A DISTANT LAND LIGHT AND ACROSS HOLYHEAD'S BOW. WAS CUT IN TWO AND SANK QUICKLY WITH THE LOSS OF 18 LIVES. (N WALES SHIPWRECKS). 13 LIVES LOST. (SIBI).
