SS AJASA Wreck Details. The SS AJASA was a steamship scuttled at coordinates 6 7.75 N, 3 25.75 E located in the Gulf of Guinea off the coast of Lagos, Nigeria. The wreck site was originally reported at a general depth of 56 fathoms. Historical records from the UK Hydrographic Office note that the site was investigated in May 2007 by HMS Enterprise but was not located, leading to its status being amended to dead. Despite historical deletion from records, the site may still appear on older nautical charts. This underwater wreck site, formerly designated as non-dangerous, is historically significant to maritime records near the Nigerian coastline.
