30.9.79 BUILT IN 1946 BY S A ANSALDO, GENOA. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY A C BABOUNIS CYLINDRIC LTD. TOOK ON WATER WHILST AT ANCHOR IN PORT OF LAGOS ON 30.9.79. WAS REFLOATED ON 30.10.79 BUT GROUNDED AGAIN SOME DAYS LATER. REFLOATED IN EARLY DECEMBER & TOWED OUT TO SEA & DELIBERATELY SUNK. (MSD).
