Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater obstruction identified at 51 37.42 N, 0 50.299 E, located in the mud flats of the River Crouch, Essex. Historical records suggest the site was investigated following reports of a crashed military aircraft of an unknown type. While aerial photography from 1981 initially indicated a structure at these coordinates, subsequent survey attempts during low water in 1982 yielded no visible wreckage, suggesting the object is either entirely buried or was previously recovered. Consequently, the site is not currently charted as a navigational hazard.
