Simplified Wreck Survey

Wreck site of the Admiral Van Tromp located off the North Sea coast near Whitby at coordinates 54 29.11 N, 0 34.768 W. The vessel originally ran aground in 1976 and was initially reported as submerged and lying on its port side. Historical surveys from 1989, 1992, and 2017 have failed to locate any wreckage at this position, with multibeam surveys indicating no remains or obstructions on the seabed. The site is currently classified as NFA (No Further Action) as there is no evidence of wreckage remaining.
