The wreck of the vessel Creteblock is located at coordinates 54 29.411 N, 0 35.968 W in the coastal waters of England. This historical underwater obstruction is situated very close inshore, where the bow remains visible above the water. Historical hydrographic surveys and aerial photography document the remains as a broken-up structure with visible debris nearby. Recent marine examinations record the wreck dimensions as 13.65 meters in length, 7.0 meters in width, and 2.25 meters in height, with an orientation of 146 to 326 degrees. The least multibeam depth dries 3.32 meters, and the name Creteblock remains visible on the bow of the structure.

Circumstances of loss

BUILT IN ?SHORHAM OF CONCRETE. ORDERED AS CT35 IN 1917. DISMANTLED 1934. AFTER SHORT MILITARY CAREER WAS BOUGHT BY SMITH'S DOCK AND USED AS A TUG ON MERSEYSIDE UNLIT 1935 WHEN THE COMPANY MOVED WHITBY. USED BRIEFLY AS A FISHERMAN'S STORE, LATER MADE WATERTIGHT AND TOWED OUT TO BE SCUTTLED IN DEEP WATER. BEGAN TAKING IN WATER AND WAS BEACHED OFF SCAUR. (VARIOUS, VIA S CANT).
