Simplified Wreck Survey
Wreck XENY Details and History Wreck Position 36 33.717 N, 6 16.333 W located in Cadiz Roads Spain. The vessel arrived under tow following a fire and capsized at anchor in approximately 8 meters of water. Historical survey records from the UK Hydrographic Office note that the ship came to lie on the bottom on its side with the bilge keel exposed and only the port lifeboat visible above the water. The site was historically marked by green and red light buoys. Salvage operations commenced in early 1983 and the wreck of the XENY was successfully removed between February and April 1983.

ABANDONED IN 403100N, 095600W BY CREW DUE TO AN UNCONTROLLABLE FIRE. ADRIFT & LISTING HEAVILY ABOUT 30M OFF CABO ROCA. WAS TAKEN IN TOW TO CADIZ ROADS WHEN FIRE EXTINGUISHED. SHE CAPSIZED & SANK.
