Simplified Wreck Survey
The Wyre Victory is an underwater shipwreck located off the coast of Scotland in the Sea of the Hebrides. The wreck lies at the precise coordinates 56 54.450 N, 06 36.616 W. Discovered and examined using DGPS, the vessel was found at a depth of 88.55 meters within a general seabed depth of 97.2 meters. The Wyre Victory is structurally intact, measuring 47.0 meters in length, 9.5 meters in width, and 8.5 meters in height. It lies on an orientation of 077/257 degrees and exhibits a 20-degree list to the starboard side. Approximately 70% of the hull has settled into the seabed, with a 0.5-meter deep scour detected at its southern end. Despite its time underwater, the wheelhouse remains intact, and the masts and antennae are still standing in a vertical position. This underwater obstruction is officially charted and monitored to ensure maritime safety.
