Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater obstruction located at 56 55.986 N, 6 36.06 W near the coast of Oban, Scotland. This underwater hazard consists of one 20ft container and one 40ft container loaded with paper rolls, reported lost overboard in October 1982. Following underwater surveys in 2009, the obstruction was not located by multibeam sonar, resulting in the wreck status being updated to non-dangerous or cleared. Historical nautical charts previously identified this site as a submerged hazard, but modern hydrographic data indicates the obstruction is no longer considered a navigational danger at these coordinates.
