Simplified Wreck Survey

The wreck of the vessel VIRGINIA ROSE is located off the coast of Caithness, Scotland, near Clythness Lighthouse at coordinates 58 15.98 N, 2 27.099 W. Historical records indicate the ship sank in the North Sea region; however, subsequent hydrographic surveys conducted in 2008 by Gardline utilizing multibeam echosounder technology failed to locate the obstruction. As a result of this survey, the VIRGINIA ROSE has been officially disproved and removed from maritime navigational charts as a dead wreck. The site is currently considered clear of this specific underwater obstruction based on the latest hydrographic data.
