Simplified Wreck Survey

Wreck of the vessel VICTORY located off the coast of the Shetland Islands at coordinates 60 11.018 N, 1 41.379 W. Initially reported as sunk in 1983 and later surveyed in 1984, the site was found to have a least echo sounder depth of 64 meters in a general surrounding depth of 79 meters. Historical survey data indicated a structure approximately 12 to 15 meters in length with a height of 12 meters, lying on a 030/210 degree orientation. Following a 2006 survey by the tug ANGLIA SOVERIGN, the wreck was not detected on the seabed plot, leading to the assessment that the structure has likely broken up. The site is currently classified as foul ground due to the assumed structural debris of the wreckage.
