Underwater shipwreck site Vale located in the North Sea at coordinates 56 4.782 N, 1 32.945 W. This historic wreck site, identified as the Vale, rests at a depth of 58 meters with a general surrounding seabed depth of 62.2 meters. The shipwreck measures 33 meters in length and 10 meters in width, with a structural height of 4.2 meters rising from the seafloor. Underwater survey data confirms the vessel lies on a 073/253 degree axis with the bow pointing towards 253 degrees. The wreck remains largely intact with a measured scour of 0.8 meters extending 6 meters towards the 054 and 279 degree bearings. The site exhibits a poor magnetic anomaly and was most recently examined via DGPS technology. This North Sea shipwreck is officially charted as a submerged obstruction and navigation hazard for maritime vessels.
