Simplified Wreck Survey

The historic shipwreck UB 127 is located underwater at coordinates 59 14.974 N, 1 30.109 W in the waters off the United Kingdom. Historical records indicate this German U-boat was mined on July 11, 1974. Official hydrographic surveys and search operations conducted on November 8, 1994, using side-scan sonar and magnetometer equipment failed to locate the wreck, leading authorities to amend its status to dead. A subsequent multibeam sonar search on February 28, 2007, also did not locate the obstruction, confirming no contact was found at the site.
