Simplified Wreck Survey
The underwater wreck of the vessel possibly identified as U 86 is located off the south coast of England in the English Channel at coordinates 50 31.066 N, 0 33.912 W. Situated at a general depth of 54 meters with a least echo sounder depth of 49 meters, the site features a wreckage length of 68 meters and a width of 14 meters, lying on an orientation of 075/255 degrees with a height of 7.4 meters. The structure appears to be broken in two around midships with no scour and a very poor magnetic anomaly.
