PASSAGE HONG KONG FOR TAIWAN. SUFFERED ENGINE BREAKDOWN AND DRIFTED DURING TYPHOON 'RUTH'. DEVELOPED LIST AFTER TAKING WATER IN THE ENGINE ROOM. WAS ABANDONED BY CREW AND EVENTUALLY SANK. 19 MEN LOST. (MSD).
