EX- SARUNTA III (1981), BUILT IN 1976 BY OSHIMA DOCK K.K., YOSHIUMI. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY P.T. SARUNTA WAYA RAYA LINES. PASSAGE SHANGHAI FOR BUSAN. HAD INGRESS OF WATER IN NO.1 CARGO HOLD DUE TO DEFECT IN UNDERWATER HULL PLATING AND SANK BOW FIRST. ALL CREW WERE SAFELY RESCUED. (MSD).
