SAILED IN A GALE AND ATTEMPED TO TURN BACK DUE TO THE SEVERITY OF THE WEATHER CONDITIONS. BROKE IN TWO AND SANK IN MOUNTAINOUS SEAS. 32 MEN LOST, 6 RECOVERED BY HELICOPTER AFTER 7 HOURS IN THE WATER. (MSD).
