LATER TAKEN IN TOW BY M SALVAGE TUG SIMPSON AND EVENTUALLY BEACHED AT GERRANS BAY, NEAR FALMOUTH. WAS DECLARED CONSTRUCTIVE TOTAL LOSS AND FOLLOWING REMOVAL OF FUEL WAS REFLOATED AND SCUTTLED IN DEEP WATER.
