BUILT 1945 BY KAISER CARGO INC, RICHMOND.OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY COMPANIA NAVIERA TOBAGO. PASSAGE CALLAO FOR BUENAVENTURA. SANK IMMEDIATELY AFTER A COLLISION WITH ECUADOREAN NAVAL VESSEL MANABI IN 48FMS. 20 CREW, MOSTLY CHILEAN WERE RESCUED BUT 13 DROWNED INCLUDING THE MASTER, HIS WIFE & SON. (MSD).
