BUILT IN 1892 OF STEEL BY R DUNCAN & CO LTD. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY W THOMPSON & CO. SANK WHILE UNDER TOW OF S TUG SARAH JOLLIFFE TO LIVERPOOL TO FINISH FITTING OUT. WAS SEEN TO CAPSIZE IN A SQUALL. WAS MANNED MOSTLY BY RIGGERS AND THERE WERE NO SURVIVORS.
