30.8.76 VESSEL, BUILT 1965 AT FALKENBERG, WAS EN ROUTE FROM MONROVIA TO ROTTERDAM LOADED WITH CHEMICALS, PVC , PLASTIC & GENERAL CARGO, WHEN SHE CAUGHT FIRE WHILST AT ANCHOR IN DAKAR HBR. FOLLOWING AN EXPLOSION WHICH ENVELOPED THE VESSEL IN FLAMES, SHE SANK & WAS DECLARED CTL. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY ASP REDERI AB. (LL, 30.8.76, 11.9.76 & MSD)
