Simplified Wreck Survey

The TELANA is a recorded shipwreck site situated in the Western Approaches of the Celtic Sea, southwest of the Isles of Scilly, at coordinates 49 10.04 N, 6 45.051 W. The site was originally logged by the UK Hydrographic Office in September 1977 as an unconfirmed submerged obstruction with an approximate depth of 50 fathoms, which was later amended to 91 meters in January 1978. A dedicated seabed survey conducted on November 1, 2005, by the Royal Navy survey vessel HMS Enterprise failed to locate any wreckage, formally disproving the contact. Following this hydrographic survey, the TELANA entry was amended to dead status, confirming that no active navigational hazard exists at these coordinates.
