VESSEL, BUILT 1959 BY SOC. DES FORGES DE LA MEDITERRANEE, LA SEYNE, ON PASSAGE SETE FOR DOUALA. FIRE BROKE OUT IN ENGINE-ROOM WHILE ALONGSIDE AT NOUADHIBOU, SHE WAS TOWED OUT TO THE ROADS AND BEACHED, FIRE BURNED FOR 10 DAYS. 1 LIFE WAS LOST. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY SOCIETE NAVALE CHARGEURS DELMAS, VIELJEUX, VESSEL WAS SOLD OVER A YEAR LATER TO A SPANISH SHIPBREAKER FOR SCRAP, REFLOATED & TOWED TO VALENCIA. (MSD)
