BUILT 1943, A CONVERTED US MINESWEEPER. EX-TAURUS V. SPRANG A LEAK WHILST ANCHORED OFF MONA ISLAND EN-ROUTE MIAMI FOR BARBADOS. IN EFFORT TO CONTROL LEAK VESSEL WAS ESCORTED TO DEEP WATER TO JETTISON CARGO OF FROZEN CHICKEN, BUT EFFORTS FAILED & VESSEL SANK, DECKHOUSE BROKE ADRIFT. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY ENVIRONMENTAL TESTING SERVICE. ALL PERSONS ON BOARD SAFE. (LL & MSD).
