Underwater shipwreck details near Southwold England at coordinates 52 16.371 N, 1 42.566 E the submerged wreck lies approximately 3.5 miles off the coast of Southwold in general water depths of 16 meters historical surveys and modern multibeam sonar examinations confirm the wreck is largely intact and upright oriented on a 029/209 degree heading measuring approximately 74 meters in length 14 meters in width with a height of 4.4 meters above the seabed the least depth over the obstruction is 11.34 meters with localized scour and heavy covering of fishing nets known locally as The Submarine this maritime hazard has been extensively surveyed by the UK Hydrographic Office and Royal Navy vessels
