Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater wreck located off the coast of the Isles of Scilly at coordinates 50 17.191 N, 6 0.405 W. This historic wreck is identified as a World War I armed steamship. Survey data confirms the wreckage is largely buried in sand and in a very broken condition, measuring approximately 55 meters in length and 17 meters in width. The highest point of the structure is a single boiler, which provides a least multibeam depth of 68.6 meters in an area with a general depth of 75.5 meters. The wreck lies on a 005/185 degree orientation and exhibits a strong magnetic anomaly. Initial reports categorized the site as a fisherman's fastener before subsequent diving and multibeam sonar examinations confirmed the identity of the vessel and its structural state. The site is charted as a wreck at a depth of 68 meters.
