Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater wreck site located at coordinates 55 52.245 N, 5 24.35 W near the Sound of Jura, Scotland. Historical survey records indicate this obstruction was formerly identified as the remains of an old steam trawler found in several broken parts. Initial reports from 1932 documented a structure at 55 52.15 N, 05 24.17 W. Subsequent investigations by a sub-aqua club in 1966 confirmed the site as the wreckage of a steam trawler. However, follow-up surveys conducted in 1976, including aerial photography analysis, failed to locate the object, leading to its classification as a dead site. This historical wreck data is provided for navigational reference and maritime historical interest regarding underwater obstructions in the coastal waters of Scotland.
