THE BULK OF THE WK IS PROBABLY BURIED UNDER THE ROCKS OR SCATTERED BY THE SEA, AS VERY LITTLE REMAINS. AVERAGE DEPTH OVER THE SITE IS 25FT. (R DYER, 4.9.77). NCA. 3.1.84 BUILT IN 1867 BY W SIMONS & CO, RENFREW. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY THE GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY. TWO CYLINDER OSCILLATING ENGINE, PADDLE PROPULSION. MACHINERY BY THE BUILDER. PASSAGE CHERBOURG FOR WEYMOUTH. STRANDED AT WARBARROW IN FOG. FLOATED FREE ON 3.1.84 BEFORE FURTHER SALVAGE OR PUMPING COULD BEGIN AND SANK TO BECOME A TOTAL WK. 80% OF CARGO SALVED. NO LIVES LOST. (R DYER & SIBI).
