TREVEAL LIES ON KIMMERIDGE LEDGE, BEARING 291DEGS, 1.05M FROM ST ALBANS HEAD CG SIGNAL STATION. (TRINITY HOUSE, 5.4.22). INS AS DW IN 503510N, 020454W. BR STD. H1287/74/278 10.10.74 WRECKS LIE IN 25-40FT OF WATER, WELL BROKEN UP OVER A LARGE AREA. NOTHING OF THE WRECKS IS VISIBLE ABOVE THE WATER AT ANY STATE OF THE TIDE. ONLY EVIDENCE OF THE TREVEAL IS THE ANCHOR, BOILERS AND IRON PROPELLER. THE WRECKS HAVE BEEN WELL PICKED. FEW CONDENSER TUBES AND ODD PIECES OF METALS LYING ABOUT SEABED. ONLY PART OF THE GLENMORE IS THE BOILERS ABOUT 50FT NE OF TREVEAL'S BOILERS, WHICH ARE THE HIGHEST PART OF THE WRECKAGE, STANDING ABOUT 20FT HIGH ON SEABED. POSITION ON CHARTS IS ACCURATE. TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE, SINGLE SHAFT. PASSAGE WEYMOUTH FOR SALVAGE AND RETURN. WAS SWEPT ONTO WK OF TREVEAL, FROM WHICH SHE WAS SLAVAGING QUANTITIES OF JUTE. STUCK FAST ON THE WK, BEGAN TO LEAK AND SANK. (SIBI & TRINITY HOUSE).
