Wreck details for the vessel Siviglia which sank near Oran, Algeria in the Mediterranean Sea. The wreckage is located at coordinates 35 43 N, 0 37.5 W. The vessel Siviglia sank on December 30, 1980, due to bad weather conditions near the coast of Oran. Following a declaration as a total loss, the owners abandoned the vessel. Although records from 1982 initially suggested the ship was scrapped, subsequent data re-assessment in 2002 confirmed the wreck remains in the area for filing purposes at the recorded coordinates. This underwater obstruction represents a fixed historical incident site in the Mediterranean region.
