BUILT 1934 BY TAIKOO DOCK & ENG CO. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY THE CHINA NAV CO. PASSAGE TOBRUK FOR ALEXANDRIA WITH MANY PRISONERS-OF-WAR. WAS TORPEDOED AND SUNK. MANY OF THE PRISONERS WERE PICKED UP BY A NAVAL SHIP WHICH HERSELF WAS SUNK SHORTLY AFTERWARDS. (DODS).
