BUILT IN 1928 BY SWAN, HUNTER & WIGHAM RICHARDSON. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY THE BRITISH TANKER CO. OIL ENGINE OF 286NHP. PASSAGE GRANGEMOUTH FOR INVERNESS. SANK FOLLOWING AN EXPLOSION AND FIRE. CREW OF 21 LOST. (DODS). LOSS PROBABLY DUE TO INTERNAL CAUSE AND NOT MAGNETIC MINE. (LL WW2).
