Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck SCOTIA is located off the coast of Scotland near Stornoway at coordinates 58 9.144 N, 5 18.025 W. Originally reported as running aground and sinking in September 1995, the vessel was later confirmed as a total loss remaining aground before sinking. Modern hydrographic surveys conducted in April 2013 using multibeam sonar failed to locate the remains, leading authorities to amend the status of the wreck to dead.
