Simplified Wreck Survey

This unidentified shipwreck lies in the Western Approaches of the Celtic Sea, situated southwest of the Isles of Scilly at coordinates 49 31.521 N, 6 48.368 W. Originally reported in 1972 as an unknown sailing vessel by marine salvage contractors Risdon Beazley and Ulrich Harms, the site was thoroughly surveyed in 1989. The underwater wreck rests on a sandy seabed at a general depth of 110 meters, with a minimum depth over the structure recorded at 102 meters. The wreckage measures approximately 100 meters in length and 30 meters in width, standing up to 8.1 meters proud of the sea floor on an orientation of 010 to 190 degrees. Marine survey records describe the vessel as well decayed and partially buried in the sand with no surrounding scour, featuring a prominent high point at its southern end.
