VESSEL, ON PASSAGE FROM ANTWERP TO JOUNIEH. WENT OUT OF CONTROL WHEN HER ENGINES FAILED IN HIGH SEAS. IMMEDIATE ASISTANCE REQUIRED AS THE MASTER FEARED SHE WOULD DRIFT ONTO ROCKS. TOWED INTO MARSALA, SICILY [TWO OTHER PORT HARBOUR-MASTERS REFUSED ENTRY AS SHE WAS CARRYING EXPLOSIVES]. CREW WAS TAKEN OFF WHEN THE VESSEL WAS ONLY ABOUT 175MTRS FROM ROCKS. (LLOYDS VOL.226).
