The Rigel is a known underwater wreck and obstruction located at coordinates 48 19.563 N, 4 35.061 W. Historical hydrographic survey records from the UK Hydrographic Office and French nautical charts note its position and depth details, including a general depth of 15 meters and a least depth over the wreck historically reported between 13 and 13.5 meters. The wreck location was updated in 2008 based on French chart 7401 INT 1832. Official notices in December 2010 recorded the deletion of this wreck feature from standard navigational charts.
