Underwater wreck investigation for the vessel identified as Pugliola (possibly). The wreck is located at coordinates 40 3.44 N, 17 58.6 E in the Adriatic Sea near the Italian coastline. Historical surveying data originally placed the sinking position at approximately 40 03.24 N, 17 58.36 E, or alternatively 241 degrees at 1540 feet from the Molo Foraneo light. Following subsequent hydrographic reviews and administrative updates including notice to mariners NM 1211/55, the status of this obstruction was amended to dead and removed from official nautical chart NC 140. This location represents a historical wreck site off the coast of Italy.
