BUILT IN 1956 BY BURNTISLAND SHIPBUILDING CO, BURNTISLAND. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY I G S SHIPPING CO. PASSAGE THESSALONIKI FOR APAPA/LAGOS. WAS ABANDONED BY DUE TO AN UNCONTROLLABLE FIRE THAT BROKE OUT IN THE ENGINE-ROOM WHEN 3M OFF CAPE JUBY. THE BLAZING WRECK SUBSEQUENTLY DRIFTED AGROUND AT DONIKLA, S OF TARFAYA WITH ENGINE-ROOM AND HOLDS FLOODED. THE CREW REACHED THE SAFETY OF THE SHORE. (MSD).
