Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater wreck report located at 57 41.401 N, 1 45.702 W off the coast of Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The site was historically identified as a shipwreck of approximately 600 to 800 tons with a least depth of 40 meters. Initial surveys in 1973 reported a submerged vessel, however, subsequent hydrographic investigations conducted in 2010 by Gardline Hydro and SDC Bathy failed to locate any structural remains of a wreck. Modern digital bathymetric data analysis indicates no obvious shipwreck at these coordinates, suggesting the area consists of natural rock formations and that any previous wreck has either been fully broken up or was incorrectly identified. The site is currently classified as non-existent or cleared of obstruction.
